This graph says alot about my experience, our experience, raising chickens over the past couple years. It's normalized to the number of chickens currently laying, and averaged over a week to avoid the vagaries of collection times (some days we are lazy). In a perfect world this number would hover just above .6 eggs per hen per day. Obviously, the wild oscillations reveal the difficulty of sustaining that steady state.
