It's 1AM in Atlanta. I had coffee this evening before I drove down here. Alora & Brittan have a lot more of their stuph now. I stayed up talking to them and Mimi, who was over this evening. I got to hear stories of their recent piercing adventure (Brittan's earlobes, Mimi's nipples - ouch on both counts!) and all of their work stories.

Now they're all in bed or gone for the night and I'm stuck dealing with the persistent caffiene high from the coffee I drank 6 hours ago. It let me power through the drive, but there are downsides. At least I can do some blogging.

Tomorrow morning my plan is to do the loop around Piedmont Park again and then spend the day working here before driving home tonight. Then we're driving to Alabama for me and Zinny's race Saturday - the "Dixie Flyers" is our team, K9 and people that is. We're camping there and there's a Journey tribute band doing a concert. Then Sunday we drive home and I repack the car to drive to Colorado. I'm helping run LambdaConf in Boulder later in the week (well, a MiniConf Wednesday), so I'm not too worried about completing the drive Sunday. I figure I'll work at a coffee shop somewhere in Missouri or Kansas Monday and then I've got to be there for setup on Tuesday. On Memorial Day after the conference I'm running the Boulder Bolder (or is it Bolder Boulder?) and then driving back home. Phew!

Today is the Norwegian Independence Day. Cara's already made friends in Bergen that happen to be in Nashville for the summer, so she'll be knocking back akevitt while I'm driving back home tonight. Just kidding. Cara's not much of a hard liquor fan, even for the water of life. I think our new Norwegian friends are hoping to celebrate in the style of America's Independence Day, so they'll be at the pool eating hot dogs. I should remind Cara we have fireworks in the garage...
