This has been a really great, low-key week. The Perrysburg
office is one of the least stressful places I've ever worked,
and the new employee I onboarded this week fell in like an old
friend. I'm actually a little sad to be leaving. Right now I'm
sitting in DTW not far from the guy playing the grand piano
waiting for my flight back to Savannah. It's funny, as I left
the office today I said I'd see everybody in two weeks and
they we're all like "you're coming back that soon?" No one else
realized how close the AWS conference was! This weekend I'm
flying home, but in two short weeks I'll be heading to Las
Vegas.
The big fail of this trip has been figuring out how to get
Zinny to Norway. Apparently animals must come in through Oslo
and neither of my flights home nor Alora & Brittan's in
December fit that bill. My mom is not going to be happy that
I haven't figured that out yet. She's kinda done watching my
crazy dog. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to take her
swimming in the fjord next week.
It's turned into a winter wonderland in the mountians around
Bergen. Mawell texted me pics all morning from his fjelltur
with his friends and it's pillowy and beautiful. Altitude
changes just seem to make way more of a difference there. The
North Sea moderates the temperature in the city, but a few
hundred meters above that it's full on Norwegian winter.
