I haven't been running much
lately, but I have been baking. Aunt Nancy sent me Grandma's
spritz recipe which was a hit with friends over the holidays,
so I thought I'd share it here (converted to Norwegian units).
225 g butter
175 ml sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
530 ml flour
dash of salt
1 tsp. almond extract (or Disaronno)
Cream butter, adding sugar gradually. Add slightly beaten egg,
dry ingredients, and extract. Fill cookie press. Form cookies
on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 205°C for 10-12 minutes.
Food coloring may be added to the batter. Also, colored
decorating sugar or nonpareils can be sprinkled on top before
baking.
Makes about 5 doz. cookies.
