Sometimes it's the little things that really add beauty and meaning to life. I'm a strong believer in the permaculture mentality when gardening - building a long term sustainable ecosystem which requires minimal labor input to harvest useful resources. In experimenting with plants to discover which fair best on the terroir of Tennessee's Western Plateau this local strain of Spearmint was given to me by a neighbor down the road. It has done particularly well and we have made extensive use of it for munching, in teas, and I recently used it to bitter a beer. I also think it's kinda purdy.
