What to do with Zinners?

One week out from our epic roadtrip west and I still don't know what we're doing with the dog. Zinny is still blissfully unaware, but we haven't got any suitcases out yet... Our trip to Florida in March we were able to leave her home with Ray, who was staying with us at the time. Apparently she was depressed the whole time. For the 2013 roadtrip west we left her in Omaha with the Spinners, but this year we're taking a more southerly route before turning north at the Rockies. On our 2012 roadtrip to Niagara Falls and our 2010 roadtrip to the Black Hills Cara was really focused on her studies so she stayed home with Zinners. We really have to go back to our 2009 roadtrip out to California to find us travelling on a sightseeing roadtrip with Zinny. She was still a puppy then! There are quite a few places (caves, museums, Yellowstone, etc.) that don't really cater to four-legged visitors.

Of course we have taken her on many long cartrips to Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina & Georgia over the span of her life, but those trips were always to visit family so we knew we had a place for Zinny to stay and usually other dogs to play with. I'm sure we'll figure something out though.
