Fuel Update

4 August 2015

A couple months back I did a blog on my best Nike Fuel days. Since last month was my best month of all time, including my best day of all time and my best week of all time (last week), I decided it might be time to write an update:

July 27, 2015 - First full day in Yellowstone. We did the lower loop, including a 4 mile hike around the basins adjacent to Old Faithful. This was also the night of snow and the kids' tent collapsing.

July 28, 2015 - Roughly 6 mile hike in the Lamar Valley. Hike down to the Yellowstone River and back from Tower Fall.

March 4, 2015 (unchanged) - Run in the morning and then an evening wondering around Las Vegas.

July 30, 2015 - Roughly 3 mile hike in the Tetons and then a trail run of about 5 miles.

July 31, 2015 - Short hike to waterfall at our camposite in Shoshone Nat'l Forest. Hike up to, around, and back down Devil's Tower.

May 30, 2015 - Ran the Gauntlet 5K with Cara, Conlan & Jandra in the morning, took the kids to the pool, took Cara to the airport, etc.

July 19, 2015 - The first full day of #WogsTrip2015, wherein we drove all night, saw fossilized dinosaur footprints in a creekbed in Texas, and camped in the sandhills, where I ran 6 miles in 100+ degree weather and then we went exploring in the dunefields. There were also bees at the campsite which resulted in some spontaneous running.

It's kind of amazing how quickly things can change. I'm sure these numbers would have been bigger, too, if I hadn't broken my toes and I'd been able to get in more runs. It was fun to set new records one week and then break them the next though. At least I've topped 6000 every day of the week now!
