October Game Day 2

Tonight I started out the second evening of the October Game planning to paint a painting. After an hour or so of searching for my easel in my room, in the garage, in the kids' rooms, etc. I decided to call Brittan, who had used it last over the summer. She has it at Vanderbilt!!! Ergo I decided to paint something three dimensional:

I was going to call it "Barbershop", and I was trying to figure out how to take a picture of it since the inside was painted as well. During this struggle for the right angle to photo a work I wasn't super happy with, I had an epiphany when I noticed what was under the TP roll.

I read The Martian over the summer after Randall Munroe released a comic about it and I found it inspirational. So inspirational, in fact, that I spent the last couple months reading it again outloud every night to the kids. We finished earlier this week. They are just a little excited about seeing the movie in theaters this weekend.

So I painted this and sumbitted it for day two instead:
