I Hung My Head

I've had this Ohrwurm stuck in my crawl for a little while now. Probably because it accurately captures how I'm feeling about life right now. There's a Meg Myers song where she pulls in an audio clip of Townes van Zandt saying, about his songs,

"Well, you know, I don’t think they’re all that sad. I have a few that aren’t sad, they’re like hopeless. Totally hopeless situation. And the rest aren’t sad, they’re just the way it goes kinda. I mean you know -- you don’t think life’s sad? You know? But from like recognizing sadness you can put it aside and be happy and enjoy the happy side of life."

That's life isn't it? It's a wonder that any truly rational person makes it through it at all.
