This weekend Maxwell & I have travelled downt to Atlanta to join Alora & Brittan for the MARTA Hackathon. Maxwell joined a team building a net of beacons to track & inform passengers in station and got tasked with building the website. He asked me to join & help, so we're building a site together using the Django Python web framework. He's relearned about setting up a repository to share code and everything it takes to deploy a webb app. Fun stuph!

Brittan initially joined a team led by a GA Tech prof and a couple of his grad students to add MARTA data to their 3D model of Atlanta, but she became disillusioned by their apparent dismissiveness of her attempts at contribution. Ergo she came to join us beacon folk.

Alora had better luck and joined a team she really enjoyed working with that wanted to do some machine learning. They eventually printed out a poster at the library to display their results.

In the end...we won 3rd place!
