This month I got a check from YouTube, something once a monthly occurrence but now more like a biannual one. I've also started getting emails every few days with the cryptic headline "Your video isn't approved for monetization". These videos have mostly been ones I posted well before 2010 and thus have been monetized for years, some since I was invited to join the partner program in 2008! The emails provide a link to the video in question and a box to click and have them reëaut;valuate it. So far they always reapprove the video for monetization after a week or so. It really seems like they're creating more work for themselves! Especially since early in the partner program they reviewed all the videos submitted for monetization to begin with. Which videos, you might ask, have been flagged so for? These:
