This morning I got up with everybody and then saw them off for
their days. It felt normal; it felt good. Cara made coffee from
the fancy blend Brittan sent for her birthday. I poured myself
a cup too as they got ready and left one by one. Then I
promptly fell back asleep for like 6 hours. It's important to
let one's body recover from travel. Getting up in the early
afternoon I microwaved that cup of coffee I'd poured earlier
and sat down to look across the water. It rained, then sleeted,
then snowed as I drank my coffee. Puttering around the house is nice
every now and again. I'm not traveling anymore until next month.
I did some work for a few hours and then Zara got home. After
she got a snack we headed out for a walk in the forest. It's
important to take the time to take a stroll just the two of us
and hear about all the happenings in her life. When we returned
Maxwell was home after having picked up Cara's bike. I'm
hopeful Cara will use it to commute and get some exercise
along the way. Tomorrow the plan is to summit Løvstakken
as a family, but we'll see home the weather plays out.
Ekstremværet Aina has brought some pretty intense winds and
flooding. The town Christmas tree was snapped off by the wind
and our yard was one of the many places to flood.
