This was going to be a long day when it started, but a blizzard
in Bergen didn't help. Delayed three and a half hours, my first
flight to Amsterdam didn't get me there in time to catch my
original direct flight to Detroit or the one after that I
rescheduled. When I got to Amsterdam they'd just put me on
tomorrow's flight which didn't really work, but I'd found a
flight to Atlanta where I could pick up a connection that
would get me there just after midnight - 24 hours after I
started out this morning. Hopefully it works out. Our flight
left Amsterdam only about half an hour late, so I should still
have and hour and a half to make it through customs and catch
my flight.
I was able to do some work this morning at the
airport, but sadly none of my flights have had wifi. Ergo I've
been catching up on my schoolwork and the cinema. Making time
for the classwork alongside work and family life is truly a
challenge. I read most of the Bergens Tidende, a local
newspaper, as is part of the routine that I have managed to
observe more days than not this semester. I can't say I've
gotten ahead in the book or workbook yet though. For someone
who generally had last week's homework done yesterday a few
decades ago it's hard to feel behind.
