Exercise is hard. It can be boring. It's something you have to
repeat again and again your whole life through. As a programmer,
I codify solutions to problems once and then I'm done and can
move onto something else. Exercise is never solved. You have
to tackle the same problems again and again and again. This is
what makes exercise hard. I try to build in excitement by
creating new challenges and exercising in new places.
Sometimes it's not enough though. My sanity depends on getting
exercise so when I stop I fall into a steady state of darkness
from which getting back up the hill to a state of exercising
is not easy. I want to build back up a steady state of
running, but I think this probably requires finding a running buddy - something
                  I've yet to do here.
