I don't often write polemic posts anymore because, after all,
what is one voice shouting on the internet in the face of mass
media. Increasingly the internet is becoming just a set of
walled gardens, outside of which the "dark web" is blasted as
criminal when it is, in fact, that last remnants of a free and
open internet. Such is often the case though.
So why am I writing this post if I've already accepted it's
futility? Because I am extremely disheartened by the vote in
Ireland over the weekend which succeeded in removing the
protections for the weakest members of society so they can be
killed off in the name of convenience. I'm talking, of course,
about abortion. That plus birth control and homosexuality are
leading to the declining birthrates - below the replacement
rate - that plague western societies and will eventually lead
to their collapse and replacement by something else. Such is
the nature of demographics.
Ireland was the last bastion of sanity, but ideas often need
frameworks for them to be propagated and with the well-deserved
fall of catholicism, feminism has replaced it there as in so
many places. Women like feminism out of pure self interest
and men like it because, as Jay and Silent Bob put it so
eloquently outside an abortion clinic "Why else would they be
here unless they like to fuck?"
Feminism is a cancer of society specifically because it eats
away at the body of society, until eventually that body is
destroyed. Our buildings, our infrastructure will remain, but
someone else will be living in them. And it won't be our
children, because there won't be any.
But maybe that is too dark a view. Maybe the full feminist
utopia will be brought into existence (although what men
that remain may consider it a distopia). To do a reductio ad
absurdum think of the ants or the bees. Over 99% of them are
female and most of those females aren't reproducing, just
living out their lives without the bother of motherhood. The
few men that exist are imprisoned and used to harvest sperm
or else the sperm is harvested and saved so that the men can
just be killed. Having just finished reading Margaret Atwood's
Handmaid's Tale, such a sexually controlled society
is definitely at the top of my mind.
Murder is Mercy insist the proponents of abortion in
that unwanted children will not be treated well. But that
logic could be applied to so many of us who suffer through
life, or even who endure periods of suffering. Why not kill
them all for the benefit of society at large? Maybe Thanos
was right in the Infinity War?
Sitting here in a coffeeshop in the sheikhdom of the north I
cannot help but wonder if it's oil or perfectly planned socialism
that leads to such wealth. Okay, I don't wonder for long
because I know what a poor fishing economy Norway was long after
they instituted socialism, but well before they discovered
oil. But it is easy for people to remain ignorant of history.
