                  Sometimes things do not go according to plan. Today's marathon
                  is among such things. I did not bring my camelback on this
                  and I got deydrated sweating while running. I tried prehydrating
                  before the race, but apparently it wasn't enough. I found
                  myself choking and dry heaving on mucus I didn't have the
                  saliva to remove from my throught, and then when I stopped to
                  pee at the half marathon mark it was just blood. Naturally
                  peeing blood really freaked me out so I removed myself from
                  the race.
                 
                
                  This is my first DNF (did not finish) and I'm rather embarassed and unhappy
                  about it. I drank a lot of juice/sports drinks last night as
                  part of my usual pre-marathon routine. There were water
                  stations every 5 km along the route. I've done better in the
                  Nashville heat!
