The ferry over is free for people traveling on foot...
I decided to loop around the small island on the roughly 10 km Nordsjøløypa. This was a beautiful choice, although it took several more hours than intended because of the snow.
- Sheep weigh less than humans which means, if you're following them through a mire, their tracks may lead to places over water where the ice is thick enough for them to cross but not thick enough for you.
- The eastern side of the island involved more post-holding than running.
- The rocks under the frozen sea make it look like Superman's Fortress of Solitude when the tide goes out. Spiers cracking and shooting up...
