I was up early this morning like I am every day. Probably has something to do with going to bed before 10 most nights. It's a foggy day here - perfect for a morning run. So headed up Dronningen, eating berries from the forest for breakfast along the way. The blueberries are ripe everywhere and the raspberries have started to ripen as well in some places. The cool morning air, the running, and the forest are perfect for thinking. As usual I managed to sort some things out in my head.
Afterward I jumped in the fjord for a few minutes to cool off. Then I drove to Kleppestø for a little shopping before taking the boat into the city. The ferry ride remains one of those small pleasures for me. In town I returned the ultralight Gortex jacket I was required to carry in the race last week. It was 3200 kr (about $350), so I was hoping I wouldn't need it and carried it in a ziplock bag in my pack during the race. As I write this I'm sitting in the Godt Brød enjoying a coffee and the silent company of the random other people typing away on their own machines. Strange that I sit in front of this thing all week and then choose to spend my weekend relaxtion time partly in front of it as well.
