Today I ran up and down Kronberg in Appenzell Innerrhoden, a canton we drove around but not into in 2016. The view at the top was breathtaking: nearly a sheer cliff down to the valley one way and up to the 2500 m peak Säntis in the other. There was als an alpine coaster in the park at the base by the cable car. I tried the former, but definitely not the latter. When there's a perfectly good trail to run up then there's no need to get into a little hanging box of death...
