18 Ianuarius 2023 - Volcano

I started off just after midnight with a visit to the rim of Kilauea's caldera to see the lava in the darkness. It did not disappoint!

After a bit of sleep I set out Wednesday afternoon to explore the volcano and spent five hours hiking 16 km around the "safe" side of the caldera.
