Kill Bin Laden

Thomas Greer was a US army officer involved in the Battle of Tora Bora at the outset of the Afghan-American War. He wrote an account of it entitled Kill Bin Laden under the pen name "Dalton Fury". I picked up the book last Fall thinking it was about the mission where Bin Laden was killed. It is not. Instead it is a long complaint about the failures of local Afghan militia while extolling the greatness of the American "Delta Force". Greer's callous disregard for the human lives of non-combatants says everything you need to know about why after 20 years there American troops left in disgrace and the Taliban is again in control of Afghanistan.
