Some of These Stories Are True

The park bench behind the the football pitch,
I often find my pensive self;
What is going wrong and how can I repair it?
Why do medicines work?
Will there be a war,
Or another generation?
Above me stands a big old tree,
Providing shade beneath its boughs.
Cows stand munching in the field.
Dogs run amok (à muck?) and battle for a stick.
Cool morning air slowly fades,
Into a warm Summer day.
And maybe the questions don't matter.
