J. K. Rowling wrote a screenplay rather than a novel when she decided to go prequel in the Harry Potter universe. You may know him as Newt Scamander, but in Les Animaux Fantastiques he's Norbert Dragonneau. I kind of wonder what the name of Hagrid's dragon is in the first book in the French version. Is it still Norbert or something else? Since I've seen the movie I picked up this book to practice my French - dialogue and scene instructions are not hard to follow. Still, I had to look up some words when the meaning of a sentence completely failed me. It was good practice and I've faired fairly well speaking and reading French since arriving here. I don't know that I'd recommend the book, but it served its purpose for me and I left it at the B&B in Bardigues yesterday.
