6 September 2023 Iwona hasn't done much camping, so when it got dark last night in the forest every noise was probably something coming to kill us. One she fell asleep she slept well like me in our new little tent. It's snug, especially with the bags. We're working along the way, so no more 30 plus kilometer days. There's only 90 kilometers from Santiago to Finisterre - which the Romans believed was the westernmost point in the world. It'll be nice to swim in the Atlantic again. I just had one cold, rainy day earlier in the Summer in Ireland. The past couple days we've been walking along sunken, rockwall-lined roads through eucalyptus and oak forests where the groundcover is a mixture of ferns and heather. ![]() |
