But in the afternoon I took the dogs out into the woods to Grüningen and then back along the Lützelsee. Twenty-seven years ago I became a dad. As every one of the past five years, I found a new unblocked way to contact Alora and Brittan so they could get my birthday wishes. Divorce destroys. Neither of them responded, but at least there weren't threats from them for wishing a happy birthday. I still love them. I miss both of them. I hear from other people that they think I'm disrespectful, because I contact them. Respect the Emperor's New Clothes seems to be the mantra of the kids these days. Respect is an idea in your head about how other people treat you. I would never bow to the king of England or Saudi Arabia, which they would both consider disrespectful. Is it? "Your highness" is the original stupid pronoun that's disrespectful not to use. But the respect issue is a way to isolate and control people. How can you reconcile with people that won't talk to you? ![]() |
