Back to the Alps

Today I'm flying back to Zürich. Lucky it's a direct afternoon flight. I got up early to the sound of chainsaws still cleaning up the damage of the week's storm. After breakfast I headed out for a short walk on the beach to say goodbye to the Atlantic for a while. Then a few hours of work before I checked out and headed off to the train station at noon. It's a 40 minute ride on the coast from Cascais along the coast to Lisboa where I picked up the metro to the airport. Of course I arrived two hours early, so there was plenty of time to check my back, go through security, and get some more work done. The I headed off to the gate for the 15:25 flight to Zürich as the board lit up with "last call". Arriving at the gate there was, of course, no line, but the woman informed me that this was the SwissAir 15:25 flight to Zürich, not the EasyJet 15:25 flight to Zürich which I was booked on. Who the hell let's two different arilines in the same airport book a flight to the same city at the same time?!?! Discovering that my gate was on the other side of the airport I starting running and toward the end found myself catching up to another man doing the same because he had presumeably made the same mistake. Ahead of me in line, I overheard the staff explain to him that he was at the wrong gate since his flight was, in fact, the SwissAir one. Immediately he was off again in the other direction. Poor guy. And then my EasyJet flight's takeoff was delayed an hour. Now we're in the air and on our way though.
