Today I'm taking the longest trainride of my life. I got on in Zürich and roughly nine hours later I will arrive in Bratislava. It's on the ÖBB, which I haven't traveled on before. I've driven across Österreich several times, but this is my first time on a train. Bigger windows. A nice big table to work on. A bathroom. And a dining car.
On Sunday I run my first of 3 half marathons this month in 3 countries I've not raced in before. Bratislava, Slovakia. Then in Budapest, Hungary next weekend and in Bludenz, Österreich two weeks after that. I'm excited but trepidatious. And there's so much snow on the ground still here in Österreich right next to the train!
