18 July 2025 - Switerland So, the weird thing about riding the train is crossing the border. I lost my book under the seat and TER folks helped me. There where sick kids who another mother helped. Black immigrants speaking something I couldn't follow. And then I'm on the SBB again and the guys next to me are arguing about the attack surface of Linux vs. other operating systems. The guy across from me apologizes APOLOGIZES for using paper to calculate something. Nothing sexier than arguing about Linux though, so they soon had a groupie. If California government could actually be effective in implementing services rather than servicing unions... Eventually I got sucked into an argument about Black-Scholes ability to predict złoty fluctuations with the guy across from me travelling to meet his kids at Europapark. He was less of a pessimist than me, but younger and maybe just never bitten by a downturn. |
