When I was younger and poorer Dolly Parton stepped up to buy my kids books. Every month after we moved to Tennessee they received new books to read. They were kid books not necessarily geared to Alora & Brittan's reading level, but they read them. As did Maxwell and Zara later at a younger age. And getting books in the mail is exciting! I haven't ever been to Dollywood. I don't regularly listen to her music. In the pantheon of civic duty, however, I firmly believe Dolly Parton was one of the best. She will be missed.
