A squirrel came to visit me while I sat on a log outside my tent this morning reading. Chattering and dropping things down from the trees. A squirrel is a rare thing in Europe. I asked him what news he brought from Yggdrasil. He answered with a chatter, but sadly I do not speak squirrel. And that was not really the mythollogical framework of the book I was reading either. Stephen Fry has written a readable yet erudite recounting Homer's Odyssey as well as the Greek and Roman lore that rose out of it.
