3 October 2026 - Erlenbach I May Be Wrong is written in the first person by Caroline Bankler as if it were Björn Natthiko Lindeblad talking about his life as a Buddhist forest monk. Apparently he was famous in Sweden after leaving life as a monk and going on speaking tours about Buddhism. As I was carrying it to start in Cahors after finishing Dreamland, I happened to be having dinner with a Swede named Martin who was also from Gothenburg and had met the author. Small world. The book provides an interesting discussion of some aspects of Buddhist phillosophy as part of the narrative, which is probably its main value. ![]() Lascabanes, where I saw Martin one last time picking up a bottle of wine at the gîte in the background |
