So yesterday we met the folks from whom we're renting. The swastika is a symbol which you don't find on many a t-shirt, but for some reason communist regalia has never acquired that onus. An older man with a young daughter, the owner also brought his young Russian wife - her red shirt emblazoned with CCCP and a hammer and sickle resting on laurels. I wondered if she was old enough to remember the bygone era which she currently celebrated. Those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it. And we wonder how Obama got elected. It's not just white guilt, but people who actual believe socialism is a better system of government - this in spite of the all the historical examples to the contrary! When an American president stand shoulder to shoulder with dictators like Castro and Chavez to condemn the Honduran government for deposing a man who was trying to rewrite their constitution to join the dictator for life club, one can only imagine what's in store here for us. Our very breath has been declared a pollutant to be regulated by the EPA. Cap & Trade is just for companies now, but how long until licenses are required to bring another little polluter into the world? Toujours l'audace is the motto of the conqueror, and our dear president is up to his ears with audacity.
