Muscadet
France
The Muscadet appellation is located in the Loire Valley of central France, covering around 32,000 acres. The primary grape grown is the Melon de Bourgogne, which was imported there from Bourgogne after a harsh winter in 1709. The grape has become so associated with this AOC that it is often called Muscadet elsewhere.
