The Côtes du Rhône Villages are 96 villages in the Rhône Valley where a variety of grapes are blended. The Côtes refers to the hills near the Rhône River, which flows down from the Alps in southeastern France. 16 of the villages are considered high enough quality to put their names on the label as well.
