Lazio

Lazio is the current name of the old Roman province of Latium which abutted the Eternal City itself. The region is divided into the provinces of Frosinone, Latina, Rieti, Roma and Viterbo. Lazio produces no DOCG wines, but is well known for its Frascati, which is a DOC wine. Some IGT wines may also carry the name of the province on their labels.
