Barolo

Cuneo, Piemonte

Barolo is produced in the province of Cuneo, south-west of Alba, within the region of Piemonte. It is perhaps Italia's most collected wine. Made solely from Nebbiolo. When aged at least five years, it may be labeled a Riserva. It was declared a DOC in 1966 and a DOCG in 1980. At least 13% alcohol is required.
