Rosso Canosa is a wine grown in the commune of Canosa di Puglia in Bari province, Puglia. Made primarily from Uva di Troia, the grapes Montepulciano, Sangiovese and a minimal amount of other reds may also be used. An alcohol content of 12% is required. If the wine is aged two years and has at least 13% alcohol it can also be called Riserva. It was granted DOC status on 24 February 1979.
