Gabbiano's Chianti is a traditional blend of mainly Sangiovese grapes, with small amounts of Canaiolo, Trebbiano, and Colorino grapes. As such, it enjoys a DOCG rating. The wine is also aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

2006 Tasting ($8) - This dark red wine blend has a good deep red bouquet coupled to an excellent dry, sweetish, complex flavor. Definitely worth picking up a bottle.

2008 Tasting ($9) - A brownish red wine, this Chianti has a fruity bouquet coupled to a light flavor with a minerally aftertaste.
