Montecucco is a wine grown in the Grosseto province of the Toscana region, specifically in the communes of Cinigiano, Civitella Paganico, Campagnatico, Castel del Piano, Roccalbegna, Arcidosso and Seggiano. This DOC was created on 30 July 1998 and can be made in a variety of different ways with a variety of different grapes. The blends include Bianco and Rosso, which can also be a Riserva. In addition, the wine may also be made from the specific varietals Vermentino and Sangiovese, the latter of which may also be a Riserva.
