Valdichiana, declared a DOC on 1 September 1972, is a wine grown in the Arezzo and Siena provinces of Italia. It can be made in a variety of different ways with a variety of different grapes. The blends include Bianco, Rosso, Rosato and the dessert wine Vin Santo, which can also be Riserva. In addition, the wine may also be made from one of the following specific varietals: Chardonnay, Grechetto and Sangiovese.
