Moselle Luxembourgoise

Moselle Luxembourgoise is Luxembourg's sole appellation. As such, it is often also simply called the Marque Nationale. The region is located in the southeastern part of the country just across the Moselle River from Deutschland's Mosel Anbaugebiet. Müller-Thurgau is the most common grape varietal by far here, making up almost a third of the crop. The other varietals grown are also whites common to this part of Europe with the exception of the red grape Pinot Noir. There are several classifications of wines based on a 20 point scale :

Marque Nationale - Appellation Contrôlée (12.0-13.9)
Vin classé (14.0-15.9)
Premier Cru (16.0-17.9)
Grand Premier Cru (18.0-20.0)

Wines scoring less than 12 may not carry the Marque Nationale. In addition to regular wines, the region is also home to the production of several speciality wines which are also subject to the classification system:
