Via Gebennensis La Régnie to Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette France Trails Index | Via Gebennensis

This segment begins in La Régnie in Clonas-sur-Varèze on the hills above the Rhône. There is a Roman villa excavated there, but it is only open certain days in the late afternoon. From there the Chemin heads down to and across the Rhône valley. Crossing the river, one enters the Loire department. In Chavanay begins the long climb up the Côtes du Rhône. First it is forests and then it's vineyards with excellent views down to the valley below. The climb continues up through orchards and cow fields to the Croix de Saint-Blandine before descending to Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette.
