Via Gebennensis Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette to Les Sétoux France Trails Index | Via Gebennensis

Starting in Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette, this segment begins with a climb up into the fields above the town and then a descent into the valley of Bourg-Argental. From the town of Bourg-Argental it's up again into the forest, but eventually joining an old, paved over train line that was shut down in the 80's. Thus the incline is not to steep, but the trail does skip the tunnels. These are full of junk, but can be explore if time allows. At Saint-Saveur-en-Rue the history of the old trainline can be explored in the old station. Not long after that the trail leaves the trainline to ascend several hundred more meters deep into the forest, before breaking out into fields on the short descent to Les Sétoux.
