Mt. Lycabettus is located in the middle of Athens with a spectacular view of the Parthenon and on down to Piraeus. There's a funicular railway to the top where there's a church of St. George and a restaurant. Not much room at the top, so it's not surpising Athenians chosen another, shorter hill for their acropolis. October 9th, 2017 climb up the mountain with Maxwell (pictures) |
