The Alpine Panorama Trail starts on the shore of the Bodensee in the harbor of the town of Rorschach. From there it climbs the Rorschberg up through orchards and homes until it finally reaches the forest. Reaching the town of Wienacht there is a small pub on the edge of the forest. Then it's fields and forest to the town of Heiden, where an old train with cars open to the air on the sides comes up to from Rorschach. The trail sometimes follows the tracks, but they end here while the trail keeps going up to Kaienspitz. From there it's downhill to a creek in the valley bottom which the trail then follows for a while before heading up the hill on the other side to Trogen. Hikes:
