This segment of the Alpine Panorama Trail starts in the Lansgemeindeplatz of Trogen. This short 13 kilometer section is basically two hills. First up from Trogen to Hohe Buche where one can see Säntis to the south and the Bodensee to the north while enjoying a beer at the hilltop pub. Then it's down to the small town of Bühler. From there is the climb up the second hill with mountain views and then views down to the Appenzell valley.
