So I've started listening to podcasts again. I know, weird right?
I got a Sansa mp3 player back in 2006 to listen to the Cato Institute
podcast while I ran. I never actually owned an iPod. I also had
this radio broadcast device that plugged into a headphone jack
so I could listen to mp3s in the car. It actually broadcasts
radio at whichever frequency you choose for the car to pick up.
Sort of like primative bluetooth, but it worked great. I used it
on the long lonely drive with our truck of belongings moving out
to California. But I digest...
I've found 3 podcasts I really liked, so I wanted to share:
Startup Podcast
- In a very meta way the first season is a podcast about them
Alex Blumberg starting his podcast company. The second season is
probably not worth your time, but I'm hoping the newly started
3rd season will be better.
Profit. Power. Pursuit.
- This is the one that actually got me listening to podcasts
again, much to the detriment of Spotify. It features discussions
with creatives who've built their own businesses.
Stanford eCorner
- This is, naturally, top shelf content. Lectures by major
business leaders who have some connection to Stanford. They've been
around since the last time I was into postcasting, and some of
the older ones really look familiar. Maybe I listened to them
when I was out at SLAC. Maybe not.
