Not Alaska

Earlier this year I started planning a trip to Alaska for the summer solstice. My cousin is currently living there and it's the only state I've yet to visit. This morning I dropped Cara off at the airport for a girl vacation to Seattle with her lab friends. The family trip to Alaska has been cancelled. I am, understandably, sad.

My life in general is currently in a holding pattern. I'm working to support the other people in my family achieve their dreams, but I've mostly given up on mine. Cara, the twins, Maxwell & Zara - they are my world. Some days it's great. Today I'm having a pity party about it.
