Drought Backpacking

Today I tried to go backpacking in Savage Gulf. Last time we were there there was plenty of water. This time the springs were empty holes and the waterfalls dry. I had sort of planned on there being water and only brought my bottle with me - not enough for the day, much less the meals I planned to make with boiled water. So I gave up and came home. Another failed attempt to adventure on my own. I'll plan better next time.
