This morning I am in London's Gatwick airport awaiting my
connecting flight to LAX. Tonight I'm going to watch the
sunset over the Pacific Ocean, and then run down Venice Beach
in the morning. But right now I am realizing that I can't
charge my laptop because English plugs are different from
American and European ones. And there aren't really souvenir
shops in this airport with huge Union Jacks like I'd expect.
I got my first Bergen stamp in my passport which was kind of
a surprise as well. No stamp here in London. They didn't even
ask, but I did have to go through security again. Not having a
phone I really fretted about getting up this morning for the
flight, so I didn't sleep well. But my first flight of the day
was pretty empty so I could lay down in a row and sleep. I'm
sure I'll sleep more on the next flight too, regardless of how
full it is. So here I am in my 16th European country if only
for a few hours.
